What photos make the best needlepoint patterns?

Start with one clear subject, strong edges, even lighting, and a background that does not compete with the subject. Crop tightly before converting.

What does 18 mesh mean?

Mesh is the number of canvas intersections per inch. At 18 mesh, a chart that is 72 stitches wide finishes at 4 inches wide.

Does Needlepoint Maker upload my photo?

No. Image conversion and project saving happen in your browser. Anonymous product events never include the photo, filename, grid, or saved project.
